TextsBert™
Troubleshooting
Quick fixes for access, pinning, Incognito mode, First Fill warm-up, and common filling issues.
Start here
Check site access first
Most setup issues happen because Chrome has not allowed TextsBert to work on the current website. For normal use, set TextsBert’s site access to “On all sites.”
Chrome path
- Open Chrome.
- Open the Extensions menu and choose “Manage extensions.”
- Find TextsBert and open “Details.”
- Under site access, choose “On all sites.”
- Reload the page you want to fill.
Why this does not change the local fill path
Forms live inside websites, so TextsBert needs browser permission to read visible fields and place values there. The fill path still runs locally on your device. Copied text and form content are not sent to cloud AI to decide what goes where.
First Fill can take a moment
The first fill after a fresh browser start, or after TextsBert has been idle, can take a couple of seconds. The local engine is waking up inside the extension. After that, fills should usually feel quicker.
Access and setup
Do I have to allow TextsBert on all sites?
For normal form filling across different websites, yes. If TextsBert is allowed only on selected sites, Chrome may block it on the next page or tab.
Why does Chrome use strong permission wording?
Chrome uses broad wording for extensions that can work inside websites. TextsBert needs that access because form fields live on websites and every website can structure them differently.
Should I pin TextsBert?
Pinning is not required, but it makes TextsBert easier to reach. Open Chrome’s Extensions menu, find TextsBert, and click the pin icon.
How do I use TextsBert in Incognito?
Incognito is optional. Open chrome://extensions, find TextsBert, open Details, and turn on “Allow in Incognito.” You do not need this for normal browser windows.
Filling problems
Nothing happens when I try to fill.
Check site access first, then reload the page. Also make sure the form is visible and TextsBert is installed and reachable from the Extensions menu.
Trigger Fill does not appear.
Open TextsBert from the toolbar, check site access, and reload the page. Pinning the extension makes this easier to check next time.
Only some fields were filled.
The copied text may not contain every detail, or the website may use unusual field labels. Review the filled fields before submitting.
Billing and delivery fields look mixed.
When both addresses appear in the same email or message, use clearer source text when possible and review the planned fill before submitting.
A specific website behaves strangely.
Some websites restrict how extensions can interact with their pages. Test TextsBert on the practice page to separate a site issue from an extension setup issue.
Control and privacy
Does TextsBert submit forms for me?
No. TextsBert prepares the fill. You review the fields and submit the form yourself.
Does broad site access mean cloud processing?
No. Browser access lets TextsBert work inside pages. The fill path runs locally on your device, without cloud AI deciding what goes where.
What should I send if I need support?
Do not send private customer data. Send your browser name, the page type, what you expected to fill, and a screenshot with sensitive details covered. A fake example is usually enough.
Contacting support
Please hide private data before sending anything. Do not send real customer emails, private addresses, IDs, passwords, payment details, or confidential documents.
