Help & Tutorials

Clear step‑by‑step guides for installing and using TextsBert for forms, profiles, snippets, documents, and hotkeys.

Quick start (60 seconds)
  • Install the extension and pin it.
  • Copy your text (email, invoice, CRM, spreadsheet…).
  • Open the form and use the hotkey, Quick Button, or Quick Orb.
  • Optional: enable Review Mode to confirm before filling.
Installing the extension
  • Open the Chrome Web Store listing and click “Add to Chrome”.
  • After installation, pin the extension (next section).
Pinning TextsBert
  • Click the Puzzle icon (Extensions) in the top‑right.
  • Click the Pin icon next to TextsBert.
  • TextsBert will stay visible in the toolbar.
Autofill
  • Copy the text you already have (address, customer details, order lines…).
  • Open the target form in your browser.
  • Use your hotkey, the Quick Button, the Quick Orb, or the Fill button in the extension — TextsBert fills matching fields.
  • For sensitive fields: enable Review Mode (confirm before fill).
  • TextsBert never clicks submit automatically.
Profiles
  • Save reusable sets of values (e.g., company details, departments, branches).
  • Select the right profile before filling.
  • Great when you work with multiple clients or entities.
Snippets
  • Save reusable text blocks (signature, standard address, common fields).
  • Use snippets for quick insert or as input for autofill.
Backup and restore
  • Use local backup when you want a direct recovery copy of your setup.
  • Use export and import when setup needs to be moved or restored intentionally.
  • Plan, devices, and billing stay in account settings.
  • The actual form and PDF work stays local-only.
Documents
  • In the Documents tab, choose a file (PDF, HTML, CSV, XLSX, or images for PDF conversion) — depending on your plan.
  • Review, map, and fill.
  • Export / download the result.
Assigning hotkeys in Chrome
  • Chrome → Settings → Extensions → Keyboard shortcuts.
  • Find TextsBert and set a shortcut.
  • Tip: choose a combo you don’t type into form fields.
Validation note

Validation in TextsBert means strict parsing and field mapping (format checks / plausibility warnings). It is not an online or official verification of correctness.
